From last few years paypal is the leading payment transfer service provider for ecommerce business. But, recently they are getting reckless. I was thinking from long time about the safety of paypal. Finally, Last month i had the first bad experience with paypal. Someone hacked my PayPal Account, and i got quick response from paypal and and instantly changed my account information. and filed dispute on my latest transaction. Someone had made purchase of $50 from lockerz.com. Which is obviously not done by me. I got response after 1 week and money was credited back on my account. But, then my account became limited and they asked me to update my account details (which was already updated), and asked to add my credit card number. So i have to apply to my bank for credit card and when i had received my credit card tried to enter all details. Although, i got message from paypal that my account is limited so they would not accept my card details. So, i had sent email to paypal customer service to restore my account and remove limitation. 1 month has gone, but never heard back from paypal. finally one day i found their customer service phone number, and i quickly called them, and had conversation with their customer service representative and they have asked me to wait till next day. Finally i got email from paypal that my account is restored and i can make transactions. This thing cause me lots of trouble. and i am not happy with paypal service.
So the question is that , do you think paypal is still safe? As per current situation we don't have any other option, so we can't stop using paypal. But, we must hope some better option would come to us in near future.
